UN Sustainable Development Goals
Biography
Bülent Oral was born in Çorlu in 1970. He graduated from Haydarpaşa Technical High School in 1988. He graduated from Marmara University Technical Education Faculty Electrical Education Department in 1994. He was a teacher at Private Atilla Artam Technical High School for a short time. In 1994, he started his graduate education at Marmara University Institute of Pure and Applied Sciences. In December of the same year, he began work as a research assistant in Marmara University Technical Education Faculty, Department of Electricity Education. He completed his master's degree in 1997, with thesis title "Instrument transformer examined under dynamic behaviour" under the supervisor of Prof. Dr. İrfan Güney. In 1998, he started his PhD at Marmara University Institute of Pure and Applied Sciences. After completing the courses stage, he was a guest lecturer for a period of 6 months at the Loughborough University Electrical and Electronics Engineering CREST Research Center. In 1999, he was appointed as lecturer at Marmara University Technical Education Faculty Electrical Education Department. In February 2001, He started his PhD thesis titled "The determination of national electrical energy policy in the European Union participation and comparison with the European Union countries" under the supervisor of Prof. Dr. İrfan Güney and completed in 2004. He received the academic positions of Assistant Professor in 2006, Associate Professor in 2012 and Professor in 2018. During this period, he served as Vice Head of Department, Vice Dean of the Faculty and Vice Director of the Institute. He has still worked as the Head of Power System Division. Prof.Dr. Bülent ORAL is married and has a child.
