Prof. Dr. Feral Ogan-Bekiroglu obtained her B.Sc. from Ankara University, Department of Physics Engineering in 1995 and M.Sc. from the same department in 1997. She completed her Organization Management Education in 1997 in Ankara University, Faculty of Political Science. She received her Ph.D. in Physics Education from Florida State University, Department of Curriculum and Instruction in 2002. She worked as expert engineer in Criminal Laboratory between 1995 and 1998. She started working as instructor in the Physics Education division of Science and Mathematics Education Department of Marmara University in 2002 and was appointed assistant professor in 2005, associate professor in 2009 and professor in 2014. She is a member of AERA, NARST, ESERA, and GIREP. She participated in development and revision of curriculum studies for high school physics and undergraduate physics education programs. She has been carrying out various duties related to evaluation and accreditation of teacher education programs by collaborating with EPDAD since 2012 and is continuing her work as head of Education Committee. Her research focuses on teacher professional development, assessment, STEM, argumentation, modelling, and epistemic cognition.
