I graduated from Marmara University Ataturk Faculty of Education Physics Teaching (English) Department in 1998, ranking first in class. In the fall academic semester of 1998-1999, I worked in Private Dogus High School as a science teacher. I started as a research assistant in Marmara University Ataturk Education Faculty Physics Department in 1999. In 2001, I started working in the same faculty’s Science Teaching Department as an academician and completed my doctorate in the same department in 2009. In 2016, I received the title of associate professor in the field of Science Teaching. I teach Physics I-II, Physics I-II Laboratory, Introduction to Modern Physics, Material Design in Science Teaching, Media Literacy, Renewable Energy Resources, Science History and Philososphy at the undergraduate level. I conduct academic studies in the areas of comparative science education, context-based learning, project based learning and teaching, recent trends in science education, teaching science with social media, history of science and big science experiments, examining the science curriculums and programs, design thinking.
