Biography

She was born in 1980 in Istanbul. In 2003, she graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Communication Department of Radio TV and Cinema. She worked in various short and documentary films which have screened at national and international film festivals. She worked as reporter, production supervisor and director in various tv channels such as TV8, Haberturk, CNN-Turk. She also worked at Suha Arin’s MTV Film Company. She studied at Hochschule für Bildende Künste (HFBK) in Germany as an exchange student. There she joined German director Wim Wenders’s courses and made a fake-documentary called The Last Amazon in Germany. The film was screened in various national and international competitions and received awards. In 2013, she received her Doctorate Degree with her thesis titled Reality in Cinema and Mock-Documentary. She has a book called Mock-Documentary Between Dream and Reality. She is still in M.U. Faculty of Communication, Department of Cinema as a  Lecturer. She also continues her theoretical and practical works. She gives courses such as Documentary Cinema, Film Criticism, Film Theory, World Cinema, Cinema and Society.
