Doç. Dr. AYŞE MÜGE YAZGAN

Ayşe Müge YAZGAN completed her primary, secondary and high school education at T.E.D.  Ankara College. After graduating from Marmara University, she started her MA degree in linguistics in London. She completed her research under the consultancy Prof. Dr. of Özcan BAŞKAN, the leader of linguistics in Turkey. She first worked as the foreign languages coordinator of Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education and the Founder of the foreign language research and Application Center. She also worked as a founder of the Continuing Education Center at the university and served as an academic and administrative coordinator between 2001 and 2021.

In 2009, she completed her second studies at the Department of Public Relations at the Eskişehir Open University. After completing her studies with an MA degree at the Interpersonal Communication Department of the Faculty of Communication, Department of Public Relations and Publicity, one of the most valuable faculties of Marmara University, the leading faculty in Türkiye. In 2011 she started her second PhD there, and completed her research on "The Reflection of Interpersonal Communication on Family Relationships" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ebru ÖZGEN, the leader in her field (Deputy Dean, University Senate Member) and received the title of PhD and then the title of Associate Professor in the field of Communication Studies. She was the founder of the Career Office at the Department and Faculty. As a career office team, they have been organizing panels, summits for the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students. They have been cooperating with the professionals.

The main topics among her work areas are; Examples of Women in the Media, Family Relations, Child Brides, The Art of Conversation with Correct Word Choices, Empathetic Tendencies of Academicians, Consumer Culture, Marketing Communication, Time Management, Helicopter Parents, Health Communication, and advertisement, movie and TV series analysis. She has published numerous research articles in national and international prestigious journals, has worked as a co-editor, a referee, and has four books published.

She was invited to international congresses held in Singapore and Greece in 2018. She served as the keynote speaker at the international congress held in Dubai in 2021. In March 2025, she visited the Department of Media Studies at Metropolitan University Prague in the Czech Republic. She did research and an investigation there. She gave lectures to the MA-level and PhD-level students. She was a member of numerous National and International Congresses, Conferences, and Summits.

Currently, she has been lecturing and studying on "Media Studies", "Crisis Communication Management", "World Civilizations", "Public Relations" and "Effective Communication Skills", "Interpersonal Communication", "Marketing Communication", "Time Management", "Media Literacy", "Discourse Analysis" and "Brain Rot", “Digital Public Relations”.   She provides training and carries out projects on various subjects at the "Interpersonal Relations" of the Public Relations and Publicity Department at PhD, MA, and BA levels.
