In 1996, he graduated from Marmara University, Technical Education Faculty with a bachelor's degree in Control and Computer Teaching. After two years of Vocational High School experience, he started the Instructional Systems Technologies program at Indiana University He completed his Master of Science Degree (M.Sc.) in 2002 and Educational specialization degree (E.Ds.) in 2004. He started for doctorate education in 2007 at Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Communication. His thesis titled is “Investigating the effect of social media on internet usage of net generation through social deviation approach.” He has been working as an Instructor in Marmara University, Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology since 2004.
