He graduated from Marmara
University, Faculty of Technical Education, Department of Metal Education as
the top student in 2000. He completed his master's and doctorate education at
Marmara University, Institute of Science. He became Research Assistant in December
2000. He became Assistant Professor in January 2009 and Associate Professor in
November 2012. He has been working as a Professor in the Department of
Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Faculty of Technology since June 2018.
He was included in the "World's Top 2% Scientists" list of
"World's Most Influential Scientists" published in collaboration with
Stanford University and Elsevier in 2023, 2024 and 2025. He is a “Class A
Occupational Health and Safety Specialist” (OHSS), Expert Witness Trainer and "International Welding Engineer" (IWE). His main research areas are Welding
Technologies, Brazing, Material Production Technologies, Wire Arc Additive
Manufacturing (WAAM), Forging, Work accidents, Occupational Health and Safety, Occupational blindness in production factory / businesses etc.
