Sidika Tapsin, PhD is an Assistant Professor at Marmara University.
Tapsin has received her MSc from Yeditepe University by her working on mechanism
of boron derivatives for treatment of renal cell carcinoma. Additionally, she
has extensive experience and knowledge on isolation, characterization and
differentiation of stem cells from tissues and their replantation for cell
therapy. Tapsin has received her PhD from National University of Singapore by her work about
genome-wide identification and functional characterization of
RNA aptamers in bacteria and yeast. She also has experience on mapping of genome-wide
RNA-RNA interaction on human and bacteria involving Next-Gen sequencing library
preparation and analysis. Tapsin is interested in drug development and revealing their
mechanisms; RNA vaccine researches and analysis of microbiome and microbiota changes upon disease progression or drug treatments
studies.
