Biography

Prof. Ozdemir obtained his PhD. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Brunel University London (London, UK), MSc. in Mechatronics Engineering from Sabancı University (Istanbul, Turkey), and BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from Marmara University (Istanbul, Turkey). Prof. Ozdemir’s field of expertise includes the micro/nano scale heat transfer, boiling heat transfer, microfluidic systems, phase change materials, heat transfer improvements, HVAC-R systems for special applications, electronic cooling, thermal management of battery systems, energy optimization, renewable energy systems, modelling, and simulation.  He has published articles in prestigious journals in his field. He also serves as a reviewer for prestigious SCI and SCI-E journals. Prof. Ozdemir has more than ten years of experience in thermal management and HVAC-R applications and has served as a consultant and a project manager for government and private sector organizations. Prof. Ozdemir offers Heat and Mass Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Thermal System Design, Advanced Mathematics, Convection, Advanced Fluid Mechanics and Introduction to Renewable Energy courses. He has a broad experience in R&D projects of thermal management and HVAC-R applications. Prof. Ozdemir’s recent studies are based on thermal management of Li-Ion batteries, design and development of HVAC-R devices for military systems and AI assisted thermal-energy management systems.
