Choosing suitable suppliers in the garment sector, where there is intense competition, is an important decision problem. Selection of many criteria in supplier selection makes the selection more difficult. Determining the most suitable alternatives among the available alternatives is a very difficult situation for decision makers. In decision-making, the use of multi-criteria decision-making methods helps decision-makers to make the right decisions. If the correct decision is not made in the choice of supplier, serious losses may occur.
The aim of this study is to solve the supplier selection problem of a textile company with multi-criteria decision-making methods.
Within the scope of the study, "Techniques for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution" and "Analytic Hierarchy Process" methods of multi-criteria decision-making methods were used for supplier selection. In order to determine the criteria, literature survey and opinions of 2 different department managers of the related textile company were consulted.
As a result of the studies carried out, the best supplier was chosen by 2 different decision-making methods. The results obtained were interpreted and compared with each other.
