Özet:Bu çalışmada kitap inceleme kriterlerine göre oluşturulmuş yazılı materyalle hazırlanan bir ünitenin matematik dersinde kullanımı araştırılmıştır. Kitap inceleme kriterlerine göre oluşturulacak materyalde dört temel kriter; biçimsel görünüm, muhteva, öğretim, yöntem ve strateji, hazırlık ve değerlendirme kriterleri ile bunların alt kriterlerine uygun elde edilen yazılı doküman hazırlanmasına denilmektedir. Yazılı materyal ilköğretim 7. sınıflarda "Oran, Orantı ve Yüzdeler" ünitesi için hazırlanmış ve kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın araştırma desenini "son-test kontrol gruplu model" oluşturmuştur. Bu metotta Küplüce İlköğretim okulunda öğrenimlerini sürdüren 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin oluşturduğu kontrol ve deney grubu öğrencilerinden kontrol grubuna Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı, Talim ve Terbiye Kurulunun onayladığı ve halen kullanılmakta olan ücretsiz ders kitabı kampanyası çerçevesinde ilköğretim öğrencilerine dağıtılan matematik ders kitabı ile deney grubuna ise öğretimde etkililiğini araştırmak için daha önceden hazırlanmış yazılı materyalle öğretim yapılmıştır. Gurupların oluşturulmasında daha önceki başarı durumları (Ön test) göz önüne alınarak homojen iki gurup olarak seçilmesine dikkat edilmiştir. Verilen 4 haftalık bir eğitim sürecinin ardından, öğrencilere son test, 6 hafta sonrasında ise hatırlama testi tabi tutulmuş ve gurupların aldıkları puanlar karşılaştırılmıştır. Öğrencilerin, matematik dersine ilgilerini ölçmek için "Matematik Tutum Ölçeği", matematik hakkında kendilerine ilişkin yargılarını ölçmek amacıyla da "Matematik Öz Yeterlik Algısı" ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin SPSS 10.00 paket programı kullanılarak analizleri yapılmış ve yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma bulguları kitap inceleme kriterlerine göre hazırlanan yazılı materyalle işlenmiş öğretimde; Öğrencilerinin başarılarını pozitif yönde etkilediğini, uygulanan öğretimin diğer öğretime göre öğrencilerin hatırlamaları üzerinde daha etkili olduğunu, öğrenci başarılarının cinsiyetlere göre farklılaşmadığını, öğrencilerinin matematik tutumlarının pozitif yönde farklılaştığını göstermiştir. Çalışmanın sonunda, elde edilen istatistiksel verilere dayanarak Türk Eğitim Sistemimize yönelik bir takım öneriler sunulmuştur. ABSTRACT The usage of a unit which has been prepared with a written material that has been constituted according to the criterions of book examination in the mathematics lesson is searched in this study. The four main criterions in the written material which will be constituted according to the criterions of book examination are used for formal aspect content, instruction, method and strategy,the criterions of preparation and evaluation and the preparation of the written document which is obtained appropriate for the sub- criterions of all of these. The written material is prepared and used in the seventh grades in primary education for the unit of "Symmetry, Proportion and Percentages ". The research design of the study is constituted by " the model with final - test control group ". In this method, among the students of control and experience group who maintain their education in the 7th grade in Küplüce Primary School, the education is given to the control group with the course book of mathematics which is delivered to primary students among the campaign of free course book, subject to The Ministry of Education, of which Teaching and Training Committee has approved and which is still used . In experience group it is given with written material which was prepared before to search for its effectiveness and the written material which is prepared in education. In constituting of the groups , it is paid attention to be chosen as two homogeneous groups being taken into consideration the former success condition (preliminary test ). After the education process given for 4 weeks , the final test and memorizing test after 6 weeks are made dependent on students and the points of which the groups got are compared ."Mathematics Manner Scale " is practiced to evaluate the students "interest to the lesson of mathematics and "Mathematics Self-Sufficiency Perception" is practiced to evaluate their judgements related to themselves about mathematics. The analysis of research datums is done and interpreted being used of SPSS 10.00 package programm. The research results give that in the education which was performed with written material prepared according to book examination criterions , the student success is influenced in a positive way , the practicing education is moreeffective in proportion to the other education on the students' recallings,the student success isn't different according to the sexes, the mathematical position of the students are different from each other in a positive way. At the end of the study ,some suggestions are presented aimed at Turkish Education System , depending on the obtained statisticly datums.
