ABSTRACT DETERMINATION OF PARAMETERS WHICH AFFECT THE QUALITY OF PRINTING IN DIGITAL PRINTING SYSTEMS In the project, test printing was performed using high-grade uncoated paper, 115 g/m2 glossy paper, 350 g/m2 glossy paper and American bristol board in offset printing system, dry and liquid toner digital printing. As a result of the printing, the quality parameters were determined using colour spaces, density values, microscopic images of line-font-halftone, L*a*b* values, dot gain curves and values, trapping, gray balance and visual images. Degrade printing of CMYK and mid-colours, single colour and transition from one colour to the other was performed with high- life and low-life drums and printing changes were observed with the naked eye. The test printing was performed based on ISO12647-2 and ISO12647-8 standards. Although, there are several basic printing systems, digital printing production method was compared with the natural offset printing system in terms of the printing base material and production capacity. Printing company are generally concerned about being mistaken while they are making choices among different digital systems in line with their needs. The reason for this is that there are significant technological differences among the digital printing systems. These technological differences directly affect the quality, capacity and cost according to the characteristic of the work. Offset printing system is superior to digital printing in high-volume and heavy works requiring high-quality. However, digital printing system has become an alternative to digital printing system in pre-printing preparation operations and the process of starting the printing. According to an alternative has been offset printing system especially in low-volume works requiring quick reproduction.
