Özet:Gaziosmanpaşa İlçesinde gerçekleştirdiğimiz bu çalışmanın amacı ; coğrafya öğretimini belirli bir saha içersinde incelemektir.İnceleme ile coğrafya eğitiminin gerçekleşme durumunu tespit edebilmeyi hedefledik. Tezimizin birinci bölümünü bütün bilimsel çalışmalarda olduğu gibi araştırmamızın modeli,araştırma evrenimiz,veri toplama araçlarımız,verilerin toplanması , analizleri ve çalışmalarımız esnasında karşılaştığımız zorlukların açıklanmasına ayırdık. Tezimizin ikinci bölümünü coğrafya eğitimine ayırdık.Bu bölümde coğrafya ve coğrafya eğitimi kavramları ve coğrafya öğretiminin düşünüş ilkeleri, coğrafya öğretiminde kullanılan başlıca öğretim yöntemleri ile ülkemizde coğrafya eğitimi açıklandı. Araştırmamızın üçüncü bölümünü , Gaziosmanpaşa İlçesinin genel beşeri coğrafya özelliklerinin açıklanmasına ayırdık.Bu bölümde Gaziosmanpaşa ilçesinin tarihi gelişimi ve ilçe nüfusunun genel özellikleri anlatıldıktan sonra,araştırmamızın temelini oluşturan eğitim özellikleri tespit edilmeye çalışıldı.İlçe nüfusunun eğitim durumu istatistiksel rakamlar ile sunuldu. Dördüncü bölüm ile araştırmamızın asıl konularına ulaşıldı.Bu bölümde coğrafya öğretimin gerçekleşmesinin en önemli öğesi olan öğretmen nitelikleri Gaziosmanpaşa ilçesi dahilinde tespit edilmeye çalışıldı. Beşinci bölümde ise yine araştırmamızda tespiti amaç edilen ,öğretim yöntem ve teknikleri incelenmeye çalışıldı. Bu bölümde de gerek öğretmen anketindeki gerekse öğrenci anketindeki öğretim yöntem ve teknikleriyle ilgili sorular değerlendirildi açıklamalar yapıldı ve mülakatlar neticesinde ulaşabildiğimiz yorumlar yapıldı. Tezimizin altıncı bölümünü coğrafya öğretiminde araç gereç kullanılma durumunu Gaziosmanpaşa ilçesinde dahilinde incelemeye ayırdık.Araç gereçler ile ilgili olarak sorulan sorulara aldığımız cevaplar etrafında konu görselleştirildi ve değerlendirilmelerde bulunuldu. Yedinci bölümümüzde son konu olan öğrenci tutumları incelendi.Öncelikle öğrenci tutumlarında etkili olabilecek sosyo-demografik yapı ile ilgili öğrenci anketinde yer alan bilgiler değerlendirildi.Ardından da öğrenci tutumlarını açığa çıkarabilecek olan sorular değerlendirildi. Çalışmamızın sekizinci ve son bölümünü ise bütün çalışmalarımız sonucunda elde ettiğimiz verileri değerlendirerek ulaşabildiğimiz sonuçları ve değerlendirmeleri sunmaya ayırdık .Bunlara dayanarak görebildiğimiz sorunları kısaca sunduk ve bunlara yönelik öneri niteliğinde tavsiyelerde bulunduk. Tezimizin sonunda ise özgeçmişimiz sunmayı uygun gördük. SUMMARY The aim of this work, which we did in Gaziosmanpaşa, is researching the teaching of Geography in a certain field. We aimed to determine the situation of realizing the education of Geography with this research. We took up the first part of our thesis for explaining the difficulties that we met face to face while we were studying to have the datum, like in all-scientific studying. We took up the second part of our thesis for the education of Geography. In this part, it was explained the Geography and the concepts of Geography and the basic unit of the teaching of Geography, the main methods of teaching of Geography in our country with the situation in the past and now. We took up the third part of our researching (thesis) for explanation of Gaziosmanpaşa's general geographic specifications. After explaining the historical development of Gaziosmanpaşa, it was tried to determine the specifications of education, which is the main part of our research. In the fourth part, we mentioned about the main subjects of our research. In the part, the qualifications of teachers who are the main elements of the teaching of Geography and all the other subjects were tried to determine in general parts of Gaziosmanpasa. In the fifth part, it was tried to examine the methods and techniques of education. As in the fourth part, the questions which are about both teachers' questionnaires and students' questionnaires were evaluated one by one, the explanations were made, and at the end of the interviews some comments were made in this part. We took up the usage of materials in Gaziosmanpaşa in the sixth part of our thesis. After the answers which were given about the usage of materials, the subject was visualized and some evaluations were made. In our seventh part, students' behaviours which are the last subject of our research were examined. Firstly, the knowledge which was in students' questionnaires was evaluated which was also about the social-demographic construction that can be affected on students' behaviors. After that, the questions which will be able to appear the students' behaviors were evaluated. In the eighth and the last part, we mentioned about the results and evaluations which we had at the end of all our studies. We tried to introduce our subject and tried to make suggestions about the problems that we determined with the help of our studies. At the end of our thesis, we decided to present our curriculum vitae.
