Özet:Şiir Türk edebiyatına diğer büyük türler gibi modern dönemle birlikte girmemiş, Türk edebiyatı yüzyıllar boyu şiir ekseninde gelişim göstermiştir. Dolayısıyla bu köklü türün günümüzde de önemini sürdürdüğü görülebilmektedir. Edebiyatın her türü gibi şiir de toplumun içinde bulunduğu dönemlerin duyuşundan etkilenir. Topluma dair unsurların şiire neredeyse hiç yansıtılmadığı Divan edebiyatında da eski Türk inançlarından motifler taşıyan Halk şiiri geleneğinde de toplumsal temlerin edebiyatımıza girmeye başladığı modern dönemde de şiir devinim içinde bulunur ve kuşaklar boyunca kendini var eder. Süregelen dönemler arasında üzerinde çoklukla durulan nokta şiirin ne olduğu ve nasıl olması gerektiğidir. Türk şiirinin oluşum aşamalarına bakıldığında imgenin yoğun kullanımının ve ahengin sağlanması fikrinin daha sık tercih edilmekte olduğu görülecektir. Şiir hakkındaki mülahazalar Türk edebiyatı tenkit tarihi içinde çok geniş yer kaplasa da Divan edebiyatı motiflerini içeren anlayış diğerlerine baskın haldedir. Fakat bu görünüm başka şiir anlayışlarının varlığına bir sınırlama getirmez; anlatımcı şiir geleneği de bu alternatif tarzlardan biridir. Şavkar Altınel, Türk edebiyatında anlatımcı şiir geleneğinin önemli temsilcilerinden biridir. Tezimizde öncelikle 1980 Kuşağı şiiri tanıtılacak ardından anlatımcı şiirin Türk edebiyatında nasıl bir gelişim süreci içinde bulunduğu saptanmış; sonrasında ise Altınel’in hayatı, sanat anlayışı ve eserleri hakkında bilgi verilerek değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. ABSTRACT The introduction of the poetry into the Turkish Literature was not with modern period in literature in contrast; development of Turkish literature has been with along with poetry. Hence, it is being seen that this literal genre has still been important. Like every literal genre; poetry is too affected by the impressions and afflictions of its time. So, the poetry has been in movement and has made its existence sustainable even both in Divan Literature Period during which almost any social issues were not reflected on the poetry and in Folk Poetry bearing motifs from Turk’s ancient belief systems and in modern period during which social themes starts to appear in our literature, too. The highly emphasized points throughout on-going periods in literature have been how the poetry is and is to be. If it is looked at the development periods of Turkish poetry, it will be seen that the notion of excessive usage of imagery at the expense of concern for harmony is usually favored. Even if the observations on poetry take a huge place in the history of criticism of Turkish Literature, the notions in which the Divan Literature patterns are embraced are so dominant. However; this approach to poetry does not bring any limitation on existence of different interpretations of poetry, and expressionist poetry is one of these alternative styles. Şavkar Altınel is one of the most eminent representatives of expressionist poetry tradition. Initially, in my thesis the poetry of 1980 Generation is introduced later I try to understand that the how expressionist poetry has been going through the development process in Turkish Literature. Following all these points, I deal with biography, understanding of art and works of Şavkar Altınel under the light of acknowledgement on these issues.
