Özet:Günümüzde matbaa alanında yaşanan teknolojik gelişmeler sonucunda gerçekleşen değişimler, bu alanda nitelikli iş gücü ihtiyacı doğurmuştur. Ülkede okuryazar oranı artışı üniversitelerde verilen eğitimle doğru orantılı bir şekilde artmasına rağmen, teknik ve mesleki eğitim alanında ciddi bir gelişmenin olmadığı gözlemlenmektedir. Üniversitelerin Teknik Bilimler Meslek Yüksekokullarındaki Basım ve Yayın Teknolojileri programlarında teknik alt yapının eksikliği ve bölümle ilgili akademisyenlerin bölümlerde orantılı dağılımının olmayışı, program içeriklerinin akademisyenlerin uzmanlık alanlarına göre belirlenmesi, bu eğitim programını olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Bu programdan mezun olan öğrencilerin istihdamında da baskı çeşitleri ile ilgili yeterli eğitim almadıklarından dolayı problemler yaşanmaktadır. Mezun öğrenciler yoğun olarak masaüstü yayıncılık alanında eğitim görmektedirler. DGS ile lisans eğitimine devam etmek isteyen mezunların, açılan kontenjan azlığı ve mesleki eğitim programlarında alınan derslerin karşılığının lisans programlarında az olması veya hiç olmaması öğrencilerin akademik ve nitelikli istihdam olanaklarının sınırlanmasına neden olmaktadır. Bu sorunun oluşmasında bu programın eğitimini veren üniversitelerin ders içeriklerinin aynı olmaması ve BYT programının yapısı itibari ile uygulamaya yönelik olduğundan programın açılışında alt yapı çalışması yapılmaması en büyük neden olarak gözükmektedir. Bu bağlamda programda görevli akademik personel ve 2. Sınıf öğrencileri için ayrı ayrı 2 adet anket formu hazırlanmış ve uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizi ve yorumlanmasında SPSS programı kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmada Türkiye’deki Basım ve Yayın Teknolojileri programının ders içeriklerini, alt yapılarını, öğrencilerin ve eğiticilerin program hakkındaki görüş ve beklentilerini ön plana çıkararak, programın yeterlilik kriterlerine uygun bir eğitim programı için önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Basım ve Yayın Teknolojileri programını geliştirmek için çalışmayla sunulan öneriler, uzmanlık gerektiren dersler için akademik personellerin program içinde dengeli dağılımı, masaüstü yayıncılık ve uygulamalı eğitimin yeni yaklaşımlarla geliştirilerek verilmesi sorunun çözümüne büyük katkı sağlayacaktır. -------------------- Recently, the changes that occurred as a consequence of the technological developments in the printing area have created the need for qualified labor force in this field. Although the increase of literacy rate in the country is directly proportional to the education given in universities, it is observed that there is no significant rise in the technical and vocational education. The insufficient infrastructure of the universities providing education in the field of printing and publishing technologies, nonhomogeneous distribution of the qualified lecturers in departments and determination of the lecture contents according to the profession of the lecturers affects adversely this department. The limited employment opportunities for the student who graduate from this program, shortage of vacancies in DGS, limited or none corresponds of the lectures taken in the vocational education at the undergraduate programs limits students' academic and qualified employment opportunities. Variations on the lecture contents between the universities that teach this program and presence of the Inadequate infrastructure of the BYT department without any practical applications can be observed as the major reasons of the these problems. In this context, two questionnaire forms were prepared and applied separately for the academic staff and 2nd grade students in the program. SPSS program was used to analyze and interpret the data. A novel course program proposal which covers compliance with the program's qualification criteria has been formed not only considering to the present Printing and Publishing Technologies program of the course content in Turkey but also highlighting the views and expectations of students and lecturers about the program. The standardization of course contents of the universities that provide the education of this program, homogeneous distribution of qualified academic staff for specialization lectures in the program, development of desktop publishing and hands-on applications with modern approaches is going to significantly contribute to overcoming obstacles to the development of the Printing and Publishing Technologies program.
