Özet:ÖET Araştırmanın amacı, Sosyal Bilgiler dersinde yerel tarih öğretim yönteminin nasıl uygulanabileceğini, bu yöntemin öğrencilerin gelişimlerine katkısını ve bu süreçte yaşanılan sorunları saptamak olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu temel amaca yönelik olarak aşağıdaki sorulara yanıt aranmıştır: 1. Öğrencilerin tarih bilimine ve yerel tarih kavramına ilişkin algıları araştırma öncesi ve sonrası nasıldır? a. Öğrencilerin tarih bilimine ilişkin algıları araştırma öncesi ve sonrası nasıldır? b. Öğrencilerin yerel tarih kavramına ilişkin algıları araştırma öncesi ve sonrası nasıldır? 2. Öğrencilerin geliştirdiği yerel tarih projelerinin niteliği nasıldır? 3. Yerel tarih proje sürecine ilişkin öğrenci, veli ve araştırmacı görüşleri nelerdir? a. Yerel tarih proje sürecinin öğrencilerin gelişimlerine katkısına ilişkin öğrenci, veli ve araştırmacı görüşleri nelerdir? b. Yerel tarih proje sürecinin zorluklarına ilişkin öğrenci, veli ve araştırmacı görüşleri nelerdir? ABSTRACT This study is to show how local history teaching method can be applied in Social Studies lessons, to identify the benefits of this method in learning and to determine the problems faced during this process. In this regard, the following questions were addressed: 1. What are the students’ perceptions of the concepts of history and local history before and after the research? a. What are the students’ perceptions of history before and after the research? b. What are the students’ perceptions of the concept of local history concept before and after the research? 2. What is the quality of local history projects developed by the students? 3. What are the student, parent and researcher viewpoints regarding the local history project process? a. What are the student, parent and researcher viewpoints regarding the role of local history project process in students’ development? b. What are the student, parent and researcher viewpoints regarding the problems of local history project process?
