Özet:İzmir; yalnızca tarihsel ve jeopolitik açıdan değil aynı zamanda kültürel ve edebî yönden de ülkemizin önemli kentlerinden biridir. Bu yüksek lisans çalışmasında İzmir’in işgali ve kurtuluşunun edebiyatımıza yansıması incelenmiştir. İncelemede üç ana bölüm oluşturulmuştur. Birinci bölümde; İşgal Öncesi İzmir, İzmir’in İşgali ve İzmir’in Kurtuluşu olmak üzere konu, üç alt başlıkta tarihsel açıdan incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde İzmir’in İşgalinin ve Kurtuluşunun basına yansıması üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışmanın ana bölümünü oluşturan üçüncü ve son bölümde ise İzmir’in İşgalinin ve Kurtuluşunun edebiyatımıza yansıması, türler bazında incelenmiş ve bu kapsamda şiir, roman, öykü, anı ve fıkralarda konuyla ilgili örneklerin tahlili yapılmıştır. İzmir tarihindeki önemli olaylarla ilgili tarihsel bir bilgi de ekte hazırlanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın ana amacı 15 Mayıs 1919’da Yunanlar tarafından işgal edilen İzmir’in 9 Eylül 1922’deki kurtuluşuna kadarki geçen sürede edebiyatımızdaki yansımalarını ortaya koymaktır. ABSTRACT İzmir is one of the most important cities of Turkey with its cultural and literary aspects as much as its historical and geopolitics condition. İn this study, the reflection of the occupation of İzmir and its independence on our literature has been investigated. This examination includes three main chapters. In the first chapter, the subject was examined with historic points in three sub-headings such as pre- occupied İzmir, the occupation of İzmir and independence of İzmir. In the second chapter, the reflection of the occupation of İzmir and its independence on the media was focused. In the third and lost chapter which is the main part of the study, the reflection of the occupation of İzmir and its independence on our literature were examined into the basis species of literature and in this case, the relevant samples from poetry, novels, short stories and humours were analyzed. A historic information about the significent events in history of İzmir was given in appendix. The main purpose of this study is to define the reflection of the time between 1919 May 15, the date of occupation of İzmir by Greeks and 1922 September 9, the date of independence of İzmir.
