Özet:
“Fotoğrafçının Cinsiyetinin Fotoğrafa Etkisi” adlı bu çalışma; cinsiyet (sex) ve toplumsal cinsiyet (gender) ifadelerinin tanımını yaparken, sosyal kimlik ve kişilik gelişimimize etkilerini sosyolojik yönden incelemeye çabalamıştır. Toplumsal cinsiyet rollerinin yarattığı “kadın” ve “erkek” tanımlamalarının, sürdürdüğümüz yaşamlar üzerindeki etkilerinden yola çıkarak, fotoğrafçının cinsiyetinin çektiği/ürettiği fotoğraflara bir cinsiyet katıp katmadığını sorgulamıştır. Cinsiyetine bağlı olarak farklı bedenlere sahip kadın ve erkek, dünyaya farklı mı bakarlar, eğer öyleyse farklı fotoğraflar mı çekerler? Bu sorulara cevaplar ararken, fotoğrafçının çektiği konu ile olan ilişkisini, fotoğraf tarihinden fotoğrafçı örnekleriyle; belgesel, sanat ve moda/reklam fotoğrafı alt başlıkları altında analiz ederek, aktarmıştır. İzleyicinin cinsiyeti ve bakış açısının da değerlendirilmeye katıldığı bu çalışma da; fotoğrafçının cinsiyetinin etkisinde, fotoğrafın bir cinsiyet kazanıp kazanamayacağını sorgulamıştır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Cinsiyet, Toplumsal Cinsiyet, Fotoğrafçının Cinsiyeti, Fotoğrafın Cinsiyeti ABSTRACT This study, named as “The Effect to the Photograph of Photographer’s Sex” attempts to define the notions of sex and gender as well as to examine their influences on our social identity and our personality development in a sociological perspective. It begins with the impacts of the definitions, created by gender roles, i.e. “woman” and “man,” on our ongoing lives and then questions whether the photographer’s sex participates in sexualising of his/her production/creation. Do a woman and a man, who have seperate bodies in terms of sex, see the world differently from each other? If so, do they take different photographs? This work shares the results of its analysis on the relationship between the photographer and the topics his/her work suggests by giving examples of the figures from the history of photography under the sub-headings of documentary, arts and fashion/advertisement, while searching the answers for the questions mentioned above. Including the viewers’ sexes and their viewpoints as a matter of consideration, it is questioned that under the impact of the photographer’s sex, if the photopraphy also has a sex.
