1. Endoskopik Yöntemle Damar Çıkartılarak Koroner Bypass Cerrahisi Geçirmiş Hastaların Postoperatif Dönemde Yaşam Kalitesi Fatma Çıtrak, Prof.Dr. SUMMARY Quality of Life of the Patients in the Post-Operative Period Who Underwent Coronary Bypass Surgery By Removing Vein By The Endoscopic Method Fatma Citrak, Prof. Dr. Sule Ecevit Alpar (Advisor) Fundamentals of Nursing Objective: This study was conducted as descriptive to determine the post-operative quality of life of the patients who underwent coronary bypass surgery by extracting vein using the endoscopic method. Material and Method: This study was applied on 120 patients in total including 60 patients whose saphenous veins removed by the endoscopic method and 60 patients whose saphenous veins removed by the classical method. The data was collected using the Patient Diagnose Form and the SF-36 Quality of Life Scale in Turkish, and the data collected was evaluated by SPSS version 15.0. The statistical significance level was accepted as P<0.05. Results: In the study, when the saphenous vein removal techniques were compared with each other, averages of the groups for which the endoscopic method was used in the subscales such as physical function, social function, physical role limitation, emotional role limitation, mental health, vitality, pain, general perception of health were found significantly higher than the group for which the classical method was used. In the study, the quality of life was found significantly high in all age groups, in the group with vibrant life, and in both groups with and without the diagnosis of diabetes of the patients whose saphenous veins removed by the endoscopic method. It was found that the male patients have received scores of the quality of life lower than the female patients in physical role limitation and emotional role limitation, that the female patient have received scores of the quality of life lower than the male patients in physical function, social function, vitality, pain and general perception of health, and that the patients whose education background is high school and above have received scores of the quality of life higher than the patient group whose education background is primary school and below, based on the gender variation. 3 Conclusion:In our study, it was found that the quality of life of the patients whose saphenous veins removed by the endoscopic method was higher than the patients whose saphenous vein removed by the classical method.
