Özet:Sinema, toplumsal iletişime büyük bir ivme kazandırıp, geniş topluluklar tarafından kabul görmüş ve önemli bir sanat dalı haline gelmiştir. Kısa film üretimi, sinema üretiminde oldukça büyük bir paya sahip olup aktarılmak isteneni yoğunlaştırılmış bir biçimde sinemasal bir dile dönüştürmektedir. Kısa film, uzun metraj filmden birçok yönüyle ayrılır. Kısa filmi farklı kılan özelliklerinden birisi süresidir; festivallerin dayatmış olduğu koşulların da etkisiyle günümüzde 30 dakikanın altındaki filmler kısa film olarak değerlendirilir. Bir öyküyü ya da olay örgüsünü kısa zamanda anlatmak durumunda olan kısa film yönetmeni, durumun farklılığını hissederek filminde daha yoğun anlamlar üretmek durumundadır. Daha yoğun anlam üretebilmenin yolu ise eskiden beri söylenen ve bir deyiş halini alan “sinema bir görüntü sanatıdır” ifadesini “sinema görsel ve işitsel bir sanattır” formuna dönüştürmekten geçer. Bu çalışma kapsamında kısa filmler ile film festivalleri arasındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda asıl anlaşılmak istenen, kısa film festivallerinin film yapımına olan etkileridir. Bu etkilerin ayrıntılı bir şekilde ölçülebilmesi için 2016-2018 yılları arasında film çekmiş ve festivale katılmış 10 yönetmenle yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu görüşmelerden elde edilen cevapların ışığında çalışma sonuca ulaştırılmıştır. -------------------- Cinema is a great momentum and mass communication, adopted by the masses and have become an important art form. Short film cinema industry has an important place in the intensifying into a cinematic language rendition. One of the attributes that make a short film different from the latter is the concept of time. Today, films less than 30 minutes in length are considered to be short film, a criteria imposed by the festivals. Thus, the director who is supposed to tell us a story or a series of events has to produce dense meanings at a short time. The way to dense meanings is to turn the expression of “Cinema is a visual art” into the expression of “Cinema is an audio-visual art” as the sound is not only a technical problem that has to be solved but an aesthetical component which contributes the narration of a film as well. In this study, we examined the relationship between short films festivals and with short films related to the subject of some studies and also film director’s ideas. In this context, it is the effects of short film festivals on film production. In order to measure these effects in detail, a semi-structured interview was conducted with 2016-2018 films and 10 directors who participated in the festival. In the light of the answers obtained from these interviews, the study was concluded.
