Özet:MESLEKİ VE TEKNİK ORTAÖĞRETİM OKULLARININ TERCİH EDİLME NEDENLERİNİN BELİRLENMESİ VE ANALİZİ Ülkemizin dünyadaki gelişmelere ve bilgi toplumuna uyum sağlayabilmesi, uluslar arası rekabet gücünü geliştirebilmesi, işsizlikle mücadele edebilmesi ve sosyal refah düzeyini yükseltebilmesi için, işgücü piyasasının talep ettiği nitelikte insangücü yetiştirecek eğitim sistemi büyük önem arz etmektedir. Türkiye’de nitelikli insan gücünü yetiştirecek en önemli eğitim kademesinin ortaöğretim ve ortaöğretimde de mesleki ve teknik eğitim sisteminin olduğu görülmektedir. Türk eğitim sisteminde ortaöğretim, temel eğitimini bitiren nüfusun işyaşamına ve üniversiteye hazırlanması şeklinde tanımlanabilecek ikili bir işlev yüklenerek, ortaöğretime hem çok zor ve aynı zamanda kritik önem taşıyan bir rol yüklenmektedir. Meslek seçimi insan yaşamının en önemli kararlarının arasında yer aldığı kabul edilmektedir. Mesleki ve teknik ortaöğretim okullarının tercih edilmesinde aile, okul, çevre vb. gibi birçok neden etkili olmaktadır. Bu araştırma; giriş, materyal ve yöntem, bulgular ve tartışma, sonuç ve değerlendirmeler olmak üzere dört bölümde toplanmıştır. Bu araştırmada; mesleki ve teknik ortaöğretim okullarına devam eden öğrencilerin okullarını tercih etmelerini etkileyen nedenlerin neler olduğunun belirlenmesi ve öğrencilerin okul tercihlerinde etkili olan nedenlerin etki durumlarının analizi amaçlanmıştır. Mesleki ve teknik ortaöğretim okullarının tercih edilmesini etkileyen nedenleri incelemeyi amaç edinen bu araştırma da Üsküdar ilçesinde bulunan mesleki ve teknik ortaöğretim okullarının10.sınıflarında eğitim-öğretim gören 503 öğrenciden anket yöntemi ile veri toplanmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında Marmara Üniversitesi web sitesi anket sistemi kullanılmıştır. Öğrenciler, web sitesi anket sisteminde oluşturulan anket formunu doldurmuşlardır. Bu bağlamda, Mesleki ve teknik ortaöğretim okullarına devam eden öğrencilerin okullarını tercih etmelerine etki eden nedenler, öğrencilerin bakış açısından ortaya konulmuştur. Sonuç olarak; mesleki ve teknik ortaöğretim okullarında öğrenim gören öğrencilerin okullarınıkendi istekleri doğrultusunda, yeteneklerine ve cinsiyetlerine uygun olduğunu düşündüğünden sınavdan yeterli puan alamamalarından dolayı,daha kolay iş bulabilmek ve kısa yoldan hayata atılabilmek için, “mezun olduğumda herhangi bir yüksek öğretim programına yerleşemesem bile elimde bir mesleğim olsun” düşüncesi ve iş bulma imkanlarından dolayı mesleki ve teknik ortaöğretim okullarını tercih ettikleri anlaşılmıştır. Mesleki ve teknik ortaöğretim okullarının tercih edilmesini etkileyen nedenlerin belirlenmesi ve analizi ile ilgili çalışmalar yapılmıştır. This research; introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusions and assessments to be collected in four sections. In this study, students in vocational and technical secondary schools to determine what are the reasons that affect schools and students to be their first choice school status preferences that are effective impact analysis of the reasons intended. Preference for vocational and technical secondary schools, this study aims to examine the factors which influence vocational and technical secondary schools in the district of Üsküdar 10 classes of 503 students studying at the data collected through a survey. Survey system was used to collect data from Marmara University web site. Students completed the questionnaire created by the web site survey system. In this context, vocational and technical schools, students in secondary schools to prefer the reasons that affect the students' point of view put forward.
