Özet:KOBİ'ler ülkemizdeki işletmelerin %98'ini oluşturmaktadır. Bu yaygınlıkları sebebiyle ülkemiz ekonomisindeki olumlu olumsuz bütün gelişmelerden ilk etkilenen işletmeler KOBİ'ler olmaktadır. Bundan dolayı KOBİ'lerin Türkiye'deki konumlarının incelenmesi, sorunlarının tespiti ve sorunlarının çözümü ülkemiz ekonomisi ve geleceği açısından önem taşımaktadır. Bütün bunların bilinciyle araştırma, " Türkiye'de KOBİ'lerin Sorunları ve Seçilmiş Sektör Olarak İmalat Sektörünün Sorunlarına Çözüm Önerileri " konusunda yapılmıştır. Araştırmada öncelikle dünyada ve Türkiye'deki KOBİ tanımlarına yer verilmiş ve KOBİ'lerin ekonomiler içerisindeki konumları irdelenmiştir. Türkiye'de istihdamın yaklaşık yarısı, üretimin üçte biri, yatırımların yaklaşık dörtte biri KOBİ'ler tarafından gerçekleştirilmesine rağmen, bu işletmelerin çeşitli sorunları mevcuttur. Bu sorunlar bir taraftan faaliyetlerini engellerken diğer taraftan da gelişimlerini olumsuz etkilemektedir. Sorunların incelenmesine yönelik yapılan araştırmada anket yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Anket formu, İstanbul'da imalat sektöründe faaliyet gösteren işletmelerin ziyaret edilmesi suretiyle birebir görüşülerek doldurulmuştur. Elde edilen bulgular tablolar halinde değerlendirilmiş ve imalat sektörünün sorunlarına çözüm önerileri sunulmuştur. Aralık, 2002 98% of of our countries business enterprises are SMSBs. As a result of this widespreading, the SMSBs are always the first business enterprises influenced by all positive or negative developments. For the economy and the future of our country, it is therefore important to examine the position of the SMSBs in Turkey to find out their problems and to solve their problems. Conscious of all these, the research was made in the topic ''Problems of small and medium size business enterprises (SMSB) in Turkey and solution suggestions for the production sector as selected sector''. In the resarch, first of all, the SMSBs in the world and in Turkey are described and at the same time the position of he SMSBs in the economies are examined. About a half of the employment, a third of the production, about a quarter of the investments in Turkey are realized by SMSBs, there are several problems of these business enterprises existing. These problems are hindering their activities, on the one side, and are influencing their development negatively, on the other side. In the research carried out with regard to the examination of the problems, the inquiry method was used. The inquiry form was filled in by visiting the business enterprises personaly and discussing face to face. The results attained were written down in charts and solution suggestions were offered to the problems of the production sector.
