Özet:TOPLAM KALİTE YÖNETİMİ UYGULAMALARININ ÜRETİM SÜREÇLERİ ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ VE BİR UYGULAMA Bu araştırmada, toplam kalite yönetimi ile üretim süreçlerinin birbirlerine olan etkisi anlatılmak istenilmektedir. Amaç, literatür araştırması yaparak toplam kalite yönetimi uygulamaları ile üretim yönetimi uygulamalarından bahsedilerek birbirleri arasında nasıl bir ilişkinin olduğu ve birbirlerini nasıl etkilediğini incelemektir. Birinci bölümde kalite kavramından, kalitenin özelliklerinden, toplam kalite yönetiminin amaçları, ilkeleri ve toplam kalite yönetimini etkileyen faktörlerden bahsedilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, üretim kavramı, üretim yönetiminin amaçları ve proses yaklaşımı konusunda bilgi verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, sürekli iyileştirmeyi sağlayacak takımların kurulması, çalışma esasları, başarısızlık nedenleri, ilerleme alanlarının belirlenmesi ve takımların sağladıkları faydalara ayrılmıştır. Takımların iyi kurulması başarılı bir iyileştirme çalışması için şarttır. Prosesi gözden geçirme ve geliştirme çalışmalarındaki mevcut aşamalar, programın oluşturulması, prosesin tanımlanması, geliştirilen proseslerin doküman haline getirilmesi ve proses gözden geçirme geliştirme çalışmalarının sağladığı faydalar anlatılmıştır. Dördüncü bölümde, toplam kalite yönetimini etkileyen faktörlerin üretim süreçleri ile ilişkisinden bahsedilmiştir. Beşinci bölümde toplam kalite yönetimi ile üretim süreçleri arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılan uygulamaya ve elde edilen sonuçlara yer verilmiştir. Bu ilişki, çevre, tedarikçi seçimi, tedarikçi ilişkileri, ürün tasarımı ve imalat süreci olmak üzere beş boyutta ele alınmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre, üretim süreçleri üzerinde Toplam Kalite Yönetiminin tüm boyutları uygulandığında, imalat süreci ve çevre boyutlarına, diğer boyutlara oranla daha fazla önem verildiği ortaya çıkmıştır. ABSTRACT IMPACT OF TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT APPLICATIONS ON PRODUCTION PROCESSES AND A PRACTİSE This study tries to explain the impacts of total quality management applications and production processes on each other. Its purpose is to conduct a literature study and to mention the total quality management applications as well as the production management applications and eventually to examine what sort of a relation exists between the aforesaid and how they affect each other. The first section touches upon the concept of quality, the particularities of quality, the purposes and principles of total quality management and the factors that affect total quality management. The second section provides information on the concept of production, the purposes of production management and the process approach. The third section has been allotted to the establishment of teams that will provide constant development, the operating principles, the reasons behind failure, the determination of improvement fields and the benefits provided by such teams. A good establishment of teams is mandatory for a successful development study. The current phases in the process revision and development studies, the setting up of the program, the definition of the process, the documentation of the developed processes and the benefits provided by the process revision & development studies have been explained. The fourth section touches upon the relations of the factors that affect total quality management with the production processes. The fifth section touches upon the executed application and the results obtained so as to manifest the relations between the total quality management and production processes. This relation has been handled in five dimensions which are environment, supplier selection, supplier relations, product design and production process. The results obtained from the study have shown that production process and environmental dimensions are given more importance than other dimensions when all dimensions of Total Quality Management are applied on the production processes.
