Özet:Sosyal Bilgiler dersi etkin, sorumluluk sahibi, toplumsal olaylara duyarlı, kültürel değerlerinin farkında olan ve bunları yaşatan nesiller yetiştirmeyi amaçlar. Toplumun var olabilmesi ve varlığını sürdürmesini sağlayan temel faktörlerden biri değerlerini korumak ve kuşaktan kuşağa aktarmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Sosyal Bilgiler dersinde üniteler ve doğrudan verilecek değerler tespit edilerek türkülerle ilişki kurulmuştur. Bu çalışma türkülerden yararlanarak değer eğitiminin mümkün olup olmadığını ve değer eğitiminde türkülerin etkisini açığa çıkarmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaçla İstanbul Pendik’te yer alan bir devlet okulunda 7.sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşan 25 kişilik bir çalışma grubu ile çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada eylem araştırması kullanılmış ve nitel veri toplama araçlarından yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma yaklaşık 10 hafta sürmüş ve düzenli olarak araştırma günlükleri tutulmuştur. Çalışma etkinlikleri, görüşme ve video kayıtlarından yararlanarak değerler eğitimi türküler yoluyla sağlanmaya çalışılmış ve aşağıda yer alan araştırma sorulara cevap aranmıştır. 1.Öğrencilerin “değer” kavramı ile ilgili uygulama öncesi düşünceleri nasıldır? 2.Öğrencilerin “türkülerin öğretimdeki rolü” ile ilgili uygulama öncesi görüşlerinasıldır? 3.Öğrencilerin “değer” kavramı ile ilgili uygulama sonrası görüşleri nasıldır? 4.Öğrencilerin “türkülerin öğretimdeki rolü” ile ilgili uygulama sonrasıdüşünceleri nasıldır? 5.Sosyal Bilgiler dersinde doğrudan verilecek değerlerin kazandırılmasındatürkülerin etkisi nasıldır? dersinde türkülerle değerler eğitimi verileceği ve Sosyal Bilgiler dersinin türküler kullanılarak daha etkili ve verimli olacağı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. -------------------- Social Studies course aims to educate generations that are active, responsible, sensitive to social events, aware of their cultural values and keeping them alive. One of the main factors that maintain the existence and survival of the society is to protect and transfer its values from generation to generation. In line with this purpose , units and values given directly in Social Studies course were determined and they were related to folk songs. This study aims to reveal whether value education is possible by using folk songs and the effect of folk songs in value education. For this purpose, a working group consisting of seventh grade students, twenty five people , was practiced in a public school in Pendik, Istanbul. In the research, action research was used and qualitative data collection tools were used. The research continued about 10 weeks and research logs were kept regularly. Using the activities, interviews and video recordings, values education was tried to be provided through folk songs and the answers to the following research questions were sought. 1.What are the views of students about the concept of “value’ before practice? 2.What are the views of students about the role of folk songs in teaching beforepractice? 3.What are the views of students about of the concept of “value after practice? 4.What are the views of students about of the role of folk songs in teaching afterpractice? 5.What is the effect of folk songs in gaining the values given directly in the SocialStudies course? It has been concluded that values education with folk songs will be given in social studies course and Social Studies course will be more effective and efficient by using folk songs.
