Özet:2000’li yıllar, medya ve reklâm sektörünün canlandırma sanatıyla yeniden ilgilenmeye başlaması, çeşitli eğitim kurumlarının ve derneklerin açılması, TRT Çocuk Kanalı ve yerli animasyon şirketlerinin kurulması, teşvik yasalarının çıkarılması, gelişen bilgisayar teknolojisi ve üç boyutlu üretim olanakları gibi gelişmeler ile birlikte, Türk canlandırma sinemasının ivme kazandığı, çeşitli gelişmelerin yaşandığı yıllar olmuştur. Bu süreçte Türk canlandırma sinemasının ürettiği en önemli yapıtlardan birisi, Türkiye’nin dünya standartlarında üretilmiş ilk canlandırma yapımı olan Kötü Kedi Şerafettin (2016) olmuştur. Dolayısıyla, bu çalışmada, Kötü Kedi Şerafettin’in Türkiye ve dünya canlandırma sinemasındaki yeri ve başarısının irdelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, bu çalışmada, canlandırma sinemasının dünyadaki doğuşuna ve gelişimine kısaca yer verilerek, Türkiye’deki varoluş mücadelesi ve bu mücadele boyunca geçirdiği süreçler üzerinde durulmuş, Türkiye’deki canlandırma sanatının tarihsel gelişimi çeşitli dönemlere ayrılıp, siyasi konjonktür ile paralelliği gilerek incelenmiştir. İlhamını yirmi yıllık çizgi roman serisinin 1. cildinden alarak, bir canlandırma film uyarlaması olarak gerçekleştirilen Kötü Kedi Şerafettin filmi; bir çizgi roman serisinin uyarlama sürecindeki zorluklarına rağmen, sinema perdesine başarıyla yansıtılabilen bir yapım olmuştur. Kötü Kedi Şerafettin, sahip olduğu çizgi romana mümkün olduğunca sadık kalma, azımsanmayacak sayıda profesyonel bir kadro ile çalışma, mekân, canlandırma, ses, kamera hareketleri, aydınlatma, renk gibi teknik özellikleri ile Türkiye canlandırma sineması tarihi içerisinde önemli bir yapıt olarak yerini almıştır. ABSTRACT In the 2000s, with the developments such as the start of the interest of the media and advertising industry with the art of animation, the opening of various education institutions and associations, the establishment of TRT Children Channel and domestic animation companies, the introduction of incentive laws, developing computer technology and three-dimensional production facilities, it has been years of gaining momentum and various developments for Turkish Animation Cinema. In this process, one of the most important works produced by the Turkish Animation Cinema, has been the Serafettin The Bad Cat (2016), which is Turkey's first and world-class animation production. Therefore, in this study, it is aimed to examine the place and the success of Serafettin The Bad Cat in Turkey and the world animation cinema. For this purpose, the birth and development of animation cinema in the world was briefly discussed, and the struggle for existence in Turkey and the processes during this struggle have been studied. The historical development of the art of animation in Turkey has been examined by considering the paralysis with political conjuncture. The film of Serafettin The Bad Cat, which was made as an animated film adaptation by taking the inspiration from the 1st skin of 20 years comics series, has been a project that can be successfully reflected in the cinema scene despite the shortcomings of adaptation process. Serafettin The Bad Cat has taken its place as an important work in the history of animation cinema in Turkey with its technical features such as loyalty to the comic book, working with a professional staff of a considerable number, space, animation, sound, camera movements, lighting and colour.
