Özet:Toplumsal değişim şimdiye kadar sosyolojiden, tarihe, iletişim bilimlerinden iktisada kadar bilimsel ve disiplinsel olarak birçok araştırmacı tarafından ele alınan ve incelenen, toplumu anlamada temel bir hareket noktası olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. İnsanoğlunun topluma ihtiyaç duymasıyla birlikte, toplumsal yapının tarihsel süreçte ihtiyaç ve etkenlere göre değişime uğradığı görülmektedir. Bu değişimlerde, ihtiyaç ve etkenler arasında özellikle sosyalleşme çabalarında ortaya çıkan farklılaşmaların dinamo etkisi yaptığı görülmektedir. Bu araştırma temel olarak, 1980-2010 yılları arasında ortaya çıkan yeni teknolojilerin sosyal ağların yarattığı değişim üzerindeki etkisini incelemektedir. Sosyal ağları etkileyen temel teknolojinin internet ve bilgisayar olduğundan hareketle internet ve bilgisayar teknolojisi tezimizin temel teknolojik altyapısını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmamız, öncelikle toplumsal değişimi tanımlamaya ve etkilerini ortaya koymaya çalışmaktadır. İletişimin sosyal değişim üzerindeki etkisi ise tarihsel anlamda ele alınarak, bugünün toplumsal değişim süreci anlamlandırılmaya çalışılmıştır. 1980 yılı, ekonomik, teknolojik, toplumsal ve siyasal gelişmeler açısından önemli bir kilometre taşıdır. Dünyada ve Türkiye’de yaşanan teknolojik gelişimlerin yanında, siyasal ve ekonomik gelişimlere de araştırmamızda yer verilmektedir. Sosyal ağlar ve internet sosyalleşmesinin incelenmesi ise farklı açılardan ele alınmaktadır. İnternet sosyalleşmesi hem internet öncesi hem de ilk internet sosyalleşme araçlarını içermektedir. Sosyal ağlar bölümünde ise internet sosyalleşmesinin sosyal ağlara dönüşümü anlatılmaktadır. Sosyal ağların türlerinin anlatıldığı bölüm ise toplumsal dönüşümün sosyal ağlar üzerinden istatiksel verilerin analiziyle desteklenmektedir. İstatiksel veriler, TÜİK’in, Hanehalkı Bilişim Teknolojileri Kullanım Oranları üzerinden, internet kullanım oranlarının yıllar içindeki değişimi üzerinden analiz edilmiştir. Türkiye’de internet kullanım alışkanlıklarının değişimi ise ComScore, Cisco ve yine TÜİK araştırmalarına dayandırılarak, sosyal ağların nasıl hayatımıza girdikleri rakamsal olarak ifade edilmiştir. Sosyal ağların kullanım amaçları ise facebook örneği üzerinden değerlendirilerek, toplumda sosyal kullanımının neden arttığı, birden çok araştırma verisi kullanılarak ortaya konulmuştur. Böylece, sosyal ağların 1980 sonrası gelişen teknolojilerle nasıl bir değişim yarattığı rakamlar üzerinden ifade edilmiştir. İstatiksel verileri kendi çalışmalarımızla elde etmediğimizden dolayı, elden geldiğince tek kaynağa değil birden çok kaynaktan veriler elde edilmiş ve karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu karşılaştırmalar, tezimizin daha objektif bir şekilde istatiksel sonuçları değerlendirmesine neden olmaktadır. ABSTRACT Until today, societal change has been approved as an essential starting point to understand societies. It has been examined and disscussed by the researchers from disciplines such as sociology, history, communication sciences, statistics and so on… With human’s need for society, it has been witnessed that social structure has been varied according to needs and factors during the historical process. In these changes, it has been seen that the resulting variations amongst the needs and factors especially the variations seen in the socialization efforts have made the dynamo effect. This research basicly examines the effects of new technologies emerged in between 1980- 2010, on social changes created by social networks. Moving from the concept of internet and computer are the basic technologies which affected social networks, internet and computer technologies constitutes the technological infrastructure of our thesis study. This research firstly tries to define what is social change and then attempts to reveal its effects. As for the impact of communication in social change, considering in historical sense, the process of social change of today has been tried to make sense. Year 1980 is an important milestone in respect to economical, technological, socialogical and political developments. In addition to the technological developments took place in the world and Turkey, political and economic development are also included in our study. Examining social networks and online social convergence is discussed from different points of views. Internet socialization includes both pre- internet and first internet socialization tools. In the chapter entitled social networks, it has been discussed that the transformation of internet socialization into social networking. As for the chapter about the types of social networks is supported by social transformation’ statistical analysis over social networks. Statistical datas are analyzed over Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu’s Household Utilization of Information Technology and the change of internet usage within the years. Change of internet usage habits in Turkey are again analyzed according to ComScore, Cisco and Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu researches and how social networks came into our lifes is shown numerically. By evaluating the aims of social network usage over the example of facebook as a case study, why the social usage has been increased are also presented by using multiple outcomes. Thus, what kind of change the social networks have created with new technologies developed after 1980s is expressed through the figures. Because we did not obtain statistical data with our own work, far as possible not from a single source but multiple sources, datas were obtained and compared in this study. These comparisons lead the results of our thesis study to be evaluated in a more objective way.
