Özet:Günümüzde endüstri toplumundan bilgi toplumuna geçiş süreci yaşanmaktadır. Bu süreçte ekonomik gelişmenin itici gücünü işgücü faktörü oluşturacaktır. Küreselleşen dünyada artan rekabet baskısı, ülkeleri üretimde yeniden yapılanmaya zorlamaktadır. Bu yüzden uluslararası rekabette eğitim stratejik bir rol oynamaktadır. Hızla gelişen bilim ve teknoloji, eğitim sisteminin yapı ve fonksiyonlarını da değişime zorlamaktadır. Eğitim sisteminin emek piyasasıyla uyumlu bir şekilde yapılandırılması şarttır. Bu amaçla eğitim sistemi, teknoloji kullanabilen ve yeni teknolojilere uyum sağlayabilen bireyler yetiştirebilmelidir. Genç nüfusa sahip olan Türkiye'nin, bu nüfus faktörünü avantaja dönüştürebilmesi için mesleki-teknik eğitime verdiği önemi arttırması gerekmektedir. Ayrıca Avrupa Birliği'ne uyum sürecinde olan Türkiye, mesleki-teknik eğitim konusunda da gerekli reformları yapmaktadır. Bu amaçla oluşturulan Ulusal Ajans'ın bu konudaki çalışmaları sürmektedir. ABSTRACT Nowadays the transition process has been living from industry society to knowledge society. In this process, the pushing power of the economic development will have been constituting labour factor. In globalizing world increasing competitive pressures, force the countries to be constructed again in production. Therefore, education in international competition plays a strategic role. Rapidly developed science and technology, force the structure and the functions of the educational system to change. It is condition that educational system must be constructed with the labour marketing in harmonious way. Therefore education system must bring people up who can use technology and can be adapted. Turkey which has young population, its population must increase importance for vocational education in order to transform his population factor into the advantage. In addition, Turkey in adaptation process to European Union, has been also doing essential reforms about vocational education. National Agency which is established with the aim has been carrying on (with) his works about this subject.
