Özet:

ENVANTER KONTROLÜ İÇİN TALEP TAHMİNİ VE BİR UYGULAMA Stok maliyetleri işletme harcamalarının önemli bir bölümünü oluşturur. Stok maliyetlerindeki düşüş sayesinde elde edilecek kazançlar diğer varlıkların satın alınmasında veya borçların ödenmesinde kullanılabilir. Bu tezin amacı Teknotel Ltd. Sti.’nin envanter maliyetlerini azaltmak ve firma politikaları sonucu belirlenen sipariş karşılama oranı hedefine ulaşmaktır. Üretim Planlama ve Envanter Kontrolü’nde daha etkin karar verebilmek için, gelecek zamanlarda oluşacak talepler tahmin edilecektir. İlk olarak uygun tahmin yöntemleri kullanılarak talepler tahmin edilmiştir. Bunun için MINITAB yazılım programı kullanılmıştır. Daha sonra talep tahminini envanter kontrolüyle birleştirecek bir yaklaşım, şirketin gerçek verileri ile örneklenmiştir. Bu duruma en uygun envanter kontrol yöntemi olarak, stok tükenmesine veya sipariş ertelenmesine izin veren deterministik ekonomik sipariş miktarı modeli seçilmiştir. Asıl amaç, Takograf isimli ürünün bazı parçalarının güvenlik stok düzeylerini, envanter maliyetlerini, optimum sipariş miktarlarını ve çevrim zamanlarını belirlemektir. Bu hesaplamalar, MS Excel programındaki eklentiler bölümü kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Yeni sistem toplam beklenen maliyeti ile sunulmuştur. Eski ve yeni sistemler toplam envanter maliyetleri açısından karşılaştırılmıştır. Bütün bu çalışmaların detayları tezin ilgili bölümlerinde sunulmuştur. 06,2005 Burcu ALİLTER ABSTRACT FORECASTING FOR INVENTORY CONTROL AND AN APPLICATION Inventory carrying charges represent a significant component of operating expenses. The funds freed by a reduction in inventories can be used to acquire other types of assets or to reduce liabilities. Thus, the aim of this thesis is to reduce inventory costs of the company Teknotel Ltd. Sti. and to attain customer service level specified by the company policies. The demands in future periods should be predicted for effective decision making in production planning and inventory management. Firstly, the demands are forecasted using appropriate forecasting methods and MINITAB software program is used for this purpose. Then an approach is illustrated on real data of the company to integrate demand forecasting with inventory control. The inventory model that suits best to such a situation is chosen Economic Order Quantity with Stockouts or Backorders Allowed, which is a deterministic inventory control model. The main purpose is to define the inventory cost and safety stock levels, optimum lot size and cycle time of some parts of the product named Takograf. This is done using the add-ins in MS Excel. The new system is presented with its expected total cost values and the results of designed system is compared with the previous system by taking into the consideration of the total inventory cost in both systems.
