Özet:Kafkasya'nın güney doğusunda yer alan Azerbaycan Cumhuriyeti bölgenin doğal kaynakları bakımından en zengin ülkesidir. Ülkenin bu denli zengin olması, çeşitli din ve kültürlerden oluşan insanların burada yaşamasına yol açmıştır. Azerbaycan 86,6 bin km2'lik yüzölçümü içerisinde 50'den fazla halkı bir arada bulundurmaktadır. Doğal olarak, bu kadar halkı bir arada bulunduran bir ülkenin kozmopolit bir kültür yapısı yansıtacağı kaçınılmazdır. Bu kadar çeşitli insan yaşayan bir ülkede, eğitim kurumları da kendi farklı yapı ve karakterlerini yansıtmadan kalamaz. Biz de böyle bir yapıyı gözönünde bulundurarak, eğitim kurumlarındaki, coğrafya eğitimi ve öğretimi konusuna eğilmeyi, mesleğimiz gereği cazip bulduk. Azerbaycan Sovyetler Birliği'nin çökmesiyle ortaya çıkan bağımsız bir devlet olarak kendi eğitim ve öğretim sistemine sahiptir. Kendi eğitim, öğretim sistemi bulunan bir ülkenin, faaliyette bulunan "coğrafya eğitimi ve öğretimi" geçmiş ve günümüz dönem olarak ele alınıp, incelenmiştir. Sovyetler Birliği döneminde Azerbaycan'da yapılan "coğrafya eğitimi ve öğretimi ilkokul, ortaokul, lise ve yüksek öğretim kurumlarında yapılırdı. Eğitim süresi boyunca, coğrafya öğretim metotları ve tekniklerinin kullanılması yanında, sistemin ideolojik damgası kendisini bariz şekilde yansıtmaktaydı. Çalışmamızın I, II ve III. bölümünde, Azerbaycan'da Sovyetler Birliği dönemindeki coğrafya eğitimi ve öğretimi ele alınmış. Bunlar ele alınırken tüm öğretim kurumları ve görülen dersler teker teker incelenmiştir. IV. bölümde yine Azerbaycan'daki tüm öğretim kurumları, Sovyetler Birliği sonrası coğrafya eğitimi ve öğretimi bakımından ele alınmıştır. Eski ve günümüz coğrafya eğitimi arasındaki farklar göz önüne alınmıştır. Tez konumuzun V. bölümünde ise,uyguladığımız anketlerin değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Anket değerlendirmesi yapılırken tablo ve grafiklerden bolca yararlanıldı. Republic of Azerbaycan locates in southeast of Caucasus.The most reach country in the region form the point of view of natural sources.This country is rich because of the country is consist of various religions and cultures for this reason,it is caused that many people are living in this country. Azerbaijan is located within 86.6 thousand km area and people more than 50 are living together.Naturally,it is inavoudable that this country has a cosmopolite culture structure.For this reason,so many people are living in this country.In such a country,Institutions of education have their different own structures and characters.In consideration those structures,it is attractive in accordance with our profession to interested in geography education. Azerbaijan possess it's own education system as an independet country following TheUnionof Soviet socialist Republics is fall down.It has considered and investigated that ''education of geography and training'' in te past and future which is in active In Soviets Republic period,the education of ''geograpy-training''would be given in primary school,medium schol and higher education institutions.During education period beside geography education methods and technics are used the ideological stamp of the system would reflects itself clearly. In Ist,IInd and IIIrd.Sections of our study,in Azerbaijan in the period of Soviet Unions,the education of geograhy has been investigated and considered.During this period all education institutions and lessons teached have been examined one by one. In IVth period,following Soviet Unions,all education institions and lessons have been examined from the point of view of geography education.The differences between today'sand old geography education have been considered In Vth section of our thesis,valuations of public surveys have been carried out By making public surveys,it has been benefit form schedule and graphics abundantly. At the of our thesis,basic problems of geograpy education and details are placed as methods of results.
