İLKÖĞRETİM OKULU MÜZİK DERSLERİNDE AKTİF ÖĞRENME MODELİNİN ÖĞRENCİLERİN ÇOKLU ZEKA ALANLARI ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ Bu araştırmanın amacı, İlköğretim 6. sınıf müzik derslerinde aktif öğrenme modelinin öğrencilerin çoklu zeka alanları üzerindeki etkisini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaçla araştırmada, ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deneme modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırma 2010-2011 eğitim-öğretim yılının 1. döneminde İstanbul ili, Kadıköy ilçesi Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı Muratpaşa İlköğretim Okulu 6/A ve 6/C şubelerindeki toplam 52 öğrenci, 52 öğrenci velisi ve okulun müzik öğretmeninden oluşmaktadır. ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF ACTIVE LEARNING MODEL ON MUSIC LESSONS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS AND STUDENTS MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE AREAS The objective of this study is to reveal the effect of the active learning model in the classroom music education in elementary schools on the multiple intelligence areas of students. For this purpose, a test model with pre test-post test control group was used in the study. The working group of the study was consisted totally 52 students, 52 students’ parents and music teacher in an 6th grade elementary school of the Ministry of National Education in Kadıköy District of Istanbul province, during the 1st term of 2010–2011 school year. The application lasted for eight weeks. While the experimental group had an education that is based on active learning, the control group had a conventional education. The application of pre test-post test was performed on students’ parents and the music teacher of the school. Multiple Intelligence Development Assessment Scale developed by Shearer (1994) and adapted by Kaya (2004) in Turkish, Personal Information Form and Observation Form were used in the study that was carried out by researcher. Pretest and posttest results were analyzed by using both Mann Whitney U and Wilcoxon tests. According to the findings obtained from the study, it was seen that the education that is based on active learning is more determinant on determining the multiple intelligence areas of students compared to the conventional education, it provides a long lasting learning and is effective on developing their creativities. As a result of the analysis, no significant difference was found between the pre test-post test scores of students in the experimental and control group, directed at the perceptions of their families. The results of the pre test-post test performed on the music teacher in the study indicated positive progress in the lower dimension of musical-rhythmic intelligence of students in the experimental group. On the other hand, according to the results of pre test-post test performed in the control group, no differentiation was found in the lower dimension of musical-rhythmical intelligence of students. Key words: Music Education, Active Learning, Multiple Intelligence.
