Özet:Yaşamın temeli ışıktır. Canlıların varlığının ana unsuru olan ışık, nesnelerin görüntüsünü de ortaya çıkarır. Işık yoksa görüntü yoktur. Işığın yönü ve açısı nesnelerin formunu oluşturur ve uzay içindeki konumunu belirler. Tüm görsel sanatlarda olduğu gibi fotoğrafın oluşum nedeni de ışıktır. Işık fotoğrafta nesneleri görünür kılarken ışığın şiddeti, yönü ve açısı fotoğrafın algılanma biçimini oluşturur. Işık ve gölge ilişkisi, bir resimde veya bir fotoğrafta iki boyutlu düzlemden üç boyutlu düzleme geçişi sağlar. İyi sonuçlar çıkarabilmek için fotoğrafçı önce ışığı iyi öğrenmek zorundadır. Fotoğrafın tüm türlerinde olduğu gibi portre fotoğrafında da ifadeyi vurgulayan şey ışıktır. Modelin duruşu, mekanın güzelliği, kullandığınız makinenin tüm üstün özelliklerine rağmen ışık doğru bir şekilde ve amaca uygun kullanılmazsa o portre fotoğrafından iyi sonuç alınamaz. İyi portre fotoğrafı yaratmak için iyi ışık bilgisi şarttır. Fotoğrafta model ne kadar gülümserse gülümsesin kötü ışık altında çekilmişse izleyiciyi gülümsetemeyecektir. -------------------- The light is the foundation of life. Being the main element of living existences light reveals the images of all objects. If there is no light, then there is no image. The direction and the angle of light determine objects’ form and their location in space. Like all other visual arts the light is the reason why the photography emerged. While the light itself makes objects visible in photographs; its intensity, direction and angle shape their perception for the observer. The interaction between light and shadow makes it possible to transit from a two-dimensional plane to a three-dimensional plane in an image or a photo. The photographer must first excel the knowledge of light in order to reach good results. It is light that epmhasizes expression in portrait photography as well as all the other types of photography profession. Despite the posture of the model, the beauty of the place, and all the superior features of the camera used, it is not possible to get good results from that portrait photograph unless the light is used correctly and for the purpose. Good light knowledge is essential to creating a fine portrait photo. No metter how much the model smiles in the photo, the observers will not be able to smile if it is shot under incorrect light conditions.
