Özet:Bu çalışmada, korku sinemasının tarihsel arka planı, tür özellikleri ve anlatı yapısı ile birlikte psikanaliz kuramının bu sinema türündeki görünürlüğü incelenmiş, bu bağlamda The Conjuring filmi psikanalitik yöntemle analiz edilmiştir. Korku sinemasındaki belirsizlik imgesi The Conjuring filmi üzerinden açıklanmıştır. Neden korkacağımızı bilmemize rağmen korku filmi seyrederiz? Korku filmleri sinema tarihinin başından beri tür olarak kabul edilirler. Çekildiği dönemdeki toplumun sorunlarını, sosyal, ekonomik, politik ve kültürel değişimlerini yansıtan bu filmler sosyolojik veri kaynağıdır. Bu sebeple korku filmleri, dönemlerinin aynası görevini üstlenir. Makro ölçekte durum bu iken mikro ölçekte ise, seyirci filmi izlerken bu yansımaları fark ederek katharsis yaşar. Bu durum, özdeşleşme kurarak ya da filmdeki felaketler sayesinde kendi hayatının rahatlığını fark ederek ortaya çıkar. Saldırganlık dürtülerini, bastırılmış arzularını ya da düşüncelerini sinema perdesinde izleyen seyirci, bu olumsuz duygularını film sayesinde boşaltmış olur. Film çalışmaları da çoğunlukla sosyolojik verileri, film-seyirci ilişkisini ya da film metinlerini incelemeyi kapsar. Bunun için çeşitli yöntemlerden ve kuramlardan destek alarak disiplinlerarası bir yapı izlenir. Psikanalitik yöntem de özellikle film-seyirci ilişkisini ve film metinlerini anlamlandırmada kullanılır. Psikanalizin ele aldığı önemli kavramlardan biri olan korkunun ise ana kaynaklarından biri belirsizliktir. Gerilimi arttırmak için korku filmlerinde sıkça kullanılan belirsizlik durumu, günlük hayatımızda da sıklıkla karşılaştığımız bir durumdur. Bu bağlamda çalışmada, korku filmlerinde kullanılan bu belirsizlik imgesinin seyircide ve bireyde yarattığı duygulanımların psikanalitik açıdan önemi tartışılmıştır -------------------- In this study, the historical background of horror cinema, genre characteristics and narrative structure were analyzed along with the psychoanalytic theory, in this context, The Conjuring movie was analyzed by the psychoanalytic method. The image of uncertainty in horror movies is explained through The Conjuring film. Why do we watch horror films even though we know we are scared? Horror films considered to be a genre since the beginning of cinematic history. The products of this genre are a sociological data source because they reflect the social, economic, political and cultural changes of the society at the time they were produced. For this reason, horror films take on the role of a mirror of their period. While this is the case on the macro-scale, on the micro-scale, the spectator notices these reflections while watching the film and experiences catharsis. This occurs by identifying with the protagonist or recognizing the comfort of their own life through disasters in the film. The spectator watches the reflections of their aggressive impulses, repressed desires or thoughts on the cinema screen and discharges those negative feelings through the film. Film studies mostly cover sociological data, film-spectator relationship or analyzing film texts. Therefore an interdisciplinary structure is followed by taking support from various methods and theories. The psychoanalytic method is used for interpretation of the film-spectator relationship and film texts. Fear is one of the important concepts of psychoanalysis and uncertainty is one of the main sources of fear. The uncertainty situation, which is frequently used in horror films to increase the tension, is a condition we encounter frequently in our daily life. Within this context, in this study, the usage of the uncertainty image in horror films creating spectator and individual affectivity in terms of psychoanalytic importance is discussed.
