Özet:DAVID HUME’A GÖRE DİNİN KAYNAĞI 19. Yüzyılda sosyal bilimler çeşitli alt dallara ayrılmaya başlamıştır. Aynı dönemde ortaya çıkan bu yeni disiplinleri etkisi altına alan kaynak araştırmaları ortaya çıkmıştır. Dinin kaynağı araştırmaları da bu dönemde en yoğun şekilde görülmüştür. Hemen her sosyal bilimler disiplininden dinin kaynağına dair bir teori sunulmuştur. Bu çalışma ile dinin kaynağı meselesinin sistemli bir şekilde 1700’lerde İskoç Aydınlanma filozofu David Hume tarafından ele alındığı gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. Yani dinin kaynağı problemi dinler tarihinin problemi olduğu kadar din felsefesinin de problemidir. Dinin kaynağı meselesinde David Hume’un teorisinin kendisinden sonra ortaya atılan teorilerle temelde örtüştüğü görülmüştür. Bu sebepten dinin kaynağı tartışmaları ele alınırken ilk sıranın David Hume’a verilmesi gerekmektedir. ABSTRACT THE ORIGIN OF RELIGION ACCORDING TO DAVID HUME Social sciences began to seperated to various sub-branches in 19th Century. At the same period, origin researches having taken under effect those new disciplines had emerged. Researches of the origin of religion also had been seen the most abundantly at this period. A theory on the origin of religion from almost every social sciences discipline had been presented. With this study it is tried to shown that matter of the origin of religion had been examined by Scottish Illumination Phylosopher David Hume systematically in 1700s. So problem of the origin of religion is problem of phylosophy of religion as much as problem of history of religion. İt is seen that David Hume’s theory compromises basicly with theories argued after itself. Therefore it is necessary that first place must be given to David Hume when discussions on the origin of religion are examined.
