Özet:Mustafa İktu, Türk operasına mal olmuş sanatçılardan bir tanesidir. Mustafa İktu sanat çevresinde mutluluk veren ses olarak tarihe geçmiştir. Mustafa İktu’nun yaşamının Türk eğitimine ve ulusal operaya olan katkısının araştırılması bu çalışmanın temel amacı olarak belirlenmiştir. Mustafa İktu’nun Türk eğitimi ve ulusal operaya katkıları incelenirken yapılandırılmış mülakat görüşmelerinden yararlanılmıştır. Mustafa İktu’nun Türk operasının tanıtılmasında öncü rol üstlendiği sonucuna varılmıştır. Önemli Türk bestecilerinin besteledikleri ve düzenledikleri Türk eserlerinin ilk seslendiricisi olmak gibi bir misyonu yüklendiği görülmüştür ve bu çabaları besteciler tarafından açıkça takdir edilmiştir. Sanatçının aynı zamanda Türk halkının operayı sevmesi için tanıtım çabalarıyla öne çıktığı görülmüştür. 1982 yılında 44 yaşında hayatını kaybeden Mustafa İktu, sanatçı kimliğinin yanında eğitimci kişiliğiyle öğrencilerinin yaşamına dokunmuş bir sanatçıdır. Bu çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlardan biri Mustafa İktu’nun eğitimci kimliğinin de ulusal operaya sunduğu katkı kadar değerli olduğu gerçeğidir. Öğrencisi olan değerli sanatçıların üzerinde bıraktığı etkinin, sahnede izleyiciler üzerinde bıraktığı etki kadar anlamlı ve geleceği restore edici olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Selahattin Evcil tarafından davet edilerek, Marmara Üniversitesi Müzik Öğretmenliği Bölümü’nün kurucularından olmuş, 1971 yılından vefat ettiği 1982 ye kadar 11 yıl İstanbul Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuvarı’nda şan hocalığı yapmıştır. Bu çalışmada mülakatlardan elde edilen sonuçlara göre şan derslerinde doğru artikülasyon ve doğru nefesin önemini vurgulamıştır. Böylelikle söylenen partilerdeki zorlukların kolaylıkla aşılabileceği görüşünü savunmuştur. Toplumun değer verdiği bir sanatçı olarak Mustafa İktu, 500 kez sahneye çıkmış ve Türk operasında derin izler bırakmıştır. Sanatçının hayatını kaybetmesinin üzerinden uzun zaman geçtiği için yapılan görüşmelerde çok fazla kişiye yer verilmesinin güç olması, çalışmanın sınırlılıklarını meydana getirmektedir. -------------------- Mustafa Iktu is one of the artists which belong to Turkish opera. Mustafa Iktu has gone down in history as a voice of happiness around art community. Researching contribution Mustafa Iktu’s life to Turkish education and national opera has been determined as the main purpose of this study. It has been used interviews when analyzing contribution of Mustafa Iktu’ s life to Turkish education and national opera. It has been reached result that Mustafa Iktu had leading role in promotion Turkish opera. It has been seen that he had a mission like being the first speaker Turkish art songs which was composed and organized by important Turkish composers and these efforts were appreciated clearly by composers. At the same time it has been seen that he arise with promotion efforts for Turkish people love to opera. In 1982 Mustafa Iktu who died at the age of 44, he was an artist, who had touched student’s life with educator personality besides artistic identity. One of the obtained results in this study is the fact that his educator identity is as valuable as his contribution to the national opera. The effects of him over valuable artists who are his students are as significant as the effects over audience in scene and it has been reached a result which has a capable of restoring future. He was invited by Selahattin Evcil, he become one of founders Marmara University Department of Music, from 1971 until his death of in 1982 he taught singing at the Istanbul University State Conservatory for 11 years. In this study according to obtained results from interviews he has been emphasized importance of accurate articulation and accurate breath at singing lessons. Thereby he advocated that view of difficulties in the parts could be easily overcame. Mustafa Iktu who was appreciated by society as an artist, he take to the stage 500 times and release deep signs at Turkish opera. Because of it has been long time since his death, it is a rough that including too many people at interviews constitute the limitations of the study.
