Özet:Arabistan Yarımadası'nda su kaynaklarının az olması bu kaynakları oldukça önemli hale getirmiştir.Her geçen gün artan nüfus,gelişen sanayi tesisleri çölden tarım alanlarına dönüştürülen araziler ve dinlenme tesisleri gibi çeşitli faktörler suyun önemini artırmıştır.Suyun gelecekte de bu bölge için fazla önem taşıyacağını ortaya koymuştur.Bu nedenle yarımadadaki kullanılabilir su miktarını artırmak için çeşitli planlar yapılmıştır. Yer altı su kaynaklarına daha fazla yüklenilmiş,tuzlu suyu arıtarak kullanma yolları aranmıştır.Ancak bu yolların çeşitli problemlerle önünün kapanması bölge dışındaki yerlerden buraya su naklini gündeme getirmiştir.Bu nedenle çeşitli projeler üretilmiş fakat bu alanda da önemli adımlar atılamamıştır.Su kaynaklarının coğrafi mekâna bağımlı olması, suyun jeopolitik önemini ortaya koymuş,yarımadadaki devletler için suyun jeopolitik bir karakter kazanmasına neden olmuştur.Bu bakımdan yarımadadaki devletler mevcut sulardan daha fazla istifade edebilmek için suyun jeopolitik yönü ile yakından ilgilenmişlerdir.Bazen su kaynakları sebebiyle çatışmalar çıkmış, ülkelerin politikalarını belirlemede su esas faktör olmuştur. SUMMARY The scarcity of the water resources in the Arabic peninsula has made these resources quite significant. Factors such as the increase of population every day, the developing industrial facilities, the lands that have been transformed from deserts to agricultural fields and leisure facilities have increased the significance of water. This has revealed that water will have even more significance in the future for the region. Therefore, various plans have been made in the peninsula to increase the amount of water that can be used. More emphasize has been given to the underground resources and the means of refining salt water for usage have been sought. However, the blocking of these means due to various problems has brought the issue of the transfer of water to the place from other places. Various projects have been developed for this reason but the steps taken in this respect were not significant. The dependence of the water resources to geographical locations has emphasized the geopolitical significance of water and has caused the water to have a geopolitical character for the countries in the peninsula. The countries in the peninsula have been interested more closely with the geopolitical aspect of water in order to be able to benefit more from the existing water resources. Sometimes conflicts have risen due to the water resources and water has become an essential factor in the political approaches of these countries.
