Özet

In this study, Wilkinson type two-way and four-way power dividers (PD) are designed to be used in broadband high-power amplifier designs, circuit and electromagnetic (EM) simulations are made. RT5870 with a dielectric thickness of 31 mil and a copper thickness of 35 μm was used as the substrate. Vishay RCP series resistors were chosen as isolation resistors to be suitable for high power applications. A 3-stage design has been made to provide required bandwidth. The circuit and EM simulation results overlap. According to the EM simulation results, -3.2 dB of insertion loss and less than -14 dB of return loss values were obtained over the band for two-way PD. A 4-way PD is obtained by cascading two-way PDs. In the EM simulation results of this circuit, -6.7 dB of insertion loss and less than -10 dB of return loss were obtained over the band. The isolation values between the ports are lower than -20 dB over the band in all PDs.
