E-commerce has become an important option for companies to sell their products and services through the online platforms, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. To achieve success on e-commerce channels, companies need to focus on both risk and service quality which help to maintain consumer trust. This study focused on the factors affecting trust and online purchase intentions considering the word of mouth (WOM). The research covers the consumers who are frequently using a specific online shopping platform in Turkey. Through questionnaire surveys 635 consumer data are collected in Google Forms via convenience sampling method. To test the hypotheses, structural equation modeling technique is performed. Consequently, the research results revealed that all the service quality and perceived risk factors have a significant effect on trust. Also, trust is found to have a significant effect on both online purchase intention and two aspects of WOM. Nevertheless, online purchase intention is found to have an insignificant effect on WOM.
