Abstract

Under the global economic conditions customer needs and requirements have been growing rapidly. Meeting the needs and requirements of customer is very important for the companies in order to compete in global market. Realizing the product that fits requirements is one of the factors which constitute the quality. This factor is valid in both the development of a new product and the modification on the existing product or manufacturing process. Like many other manufacturing sectors, the automotive industry is torn between trying to reduce costs on the one hand and, on the other, dealing with the high price of performance-enhancing technology and environmental compliance.

QFD is one of the most important quality tools and helps companies in the development of planning and communication within the firm for the design, production and marketing of products and to get the information to drive aspects of product and process improvement.
Effective use of this method provides proper determination of customer requirements and cost reduction.
