Özet

The energy required by marine vessels worldwide is mostly provided by using fossil fuels. Due to the depletion of fossil fuels day by day., causing environmental pollution and climate change., various measures have been taken in this direction worldwide., including the search for alternative solutions in marine vehicles. The need for environmentally friendly., economical and clean energy has accelerated the energy production in marine vessels with Renewable Energy Sources (RES). Solar energy., which is one of the RES., is one of the most preferred resources to be used among the RES because it is accessible everywhere in the world. In this study., Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) method is used to predict the solar radiation values in a region whose borders are determined on the Marmara Sea. PV power system modeling was created using the HOMER program on a marine vessel modeled with the values obtained from ANN., and technical and economic analysis of the electrical energy generation and storage of the marine vessel during the year was carried out and recommendations were presented. In this way., it has been tried to bring a new approach to electricity generation by maximizing the benefit of solar radiation in moving marine vehicles.
