Özet

Currently, optical networks provide the highest bandwidth among all the other networking technologies. Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) is a networking scheme that makes use of optical channels lying in the C-band of the optical spectrum to provide data rates of up to 40Gbps. In current DWDM technology, a channel separation, as low as 25 GHz, is used to provide up to 160 optical channels. In this paper, we use the VPItransmissionMaker 7.1, powerful simulation software provided by VPIsystems, Inc., to implement and test an optical network schematic Under various noise environments. This software, with its user friendly interface, facilitates the Implementation of a variety of networks including optical networks. VPItransmissionMaker 7.1 is easy to use but also proficient In simulating various types of networks and offering highly accurate results.
