Özet

The aim of this study is to reveal the role of work alienation (WA) in the effect of the mushroom management (MM) approach on employee voice (EV) within the framework of social exchange theory (SET) and learned helplessness theory (LHT). In the study, data obtained from 337 white-collar workers in the service sector using convenience sampling were subjected to descriptive and structural analyses using statistical software. The analysis revealed that the mushroom management dimensions - inadequate information sharing (IIS) and anxiety of power loss (APL) - negatively affect employee voice. Moreover, it was found that the dimensions of IIS and APL increase work alienation. Furthermore, the results revealed that work alienation was found to partially mediate the relationship between mushroom management and employee voice.
