Written production is one of the four main skills to be acquired in learning a foreign language and
needs to be practiced frequently. It has some complexities on several levels: linguistic, syntactic,
morphological, lexical, phrasal, and spelling. In the case of learning French as a foreign language (FLE),
it is crucial to master the structures of it as well as their functions. Speakers who speak more than
one language make transfers from one language to another, each categorized differently. Some accept
these transfers as a potential source of error, others as a learning strategy promoting the development
of a language. In order to understand the question better, we have opted for a sample constituted of
teachers of International Teaching of Foreign Languages (EILE), who teach the Turkish language, their
mother tongue (L1) in France, and whose second language is English (L2) and third language is French
(L3). The role of translinguistic influences occupies an essential place in linguistic studies. First, this
work aims to identify the linguistic borrowings made by teachers when they write in French. Lexical
borrowings from L1 and L2 were identified and hybrid borrowings from L2. In addition, semantic
borrowings coming directly from L2 were detected. Then, special attention was given to the acquisition
of phrasing structures and negation in French at the syntactic level, the use of determinants at the
morphological level and the mastery of tenses and their use. Finally, it was noted the use of a huge
variety of words on the lexical level and, on the phrasal level, an effort in the use of a standard and
sustained level of language and an integration of expressions of thanks and courtesy. Finally, on the
spelling level, a significant effort was noted regarding the rules of accentuation and the elision.
