Identifying and prioritizing health problems in a community, organizing, implementing and evaluating evidence based interventions for the prevention and control of the defined problems are within the domain of Public Health. While implementing these stages, Evidence Based Public Health uses a structured process in addressing communities' needs and priorities through appraising up to date scientific evidence. The aim of this article is to summarize the fundamental principles of Evidence Based Public Health by using current examples.
