In this study, 6061-T6 and 5754 series aluminum sheets with 1.5 mm thickness were combined with aluminum-based (AlMg4,5Mn) wire by cold metal transfer (CMT) method. The samples were prepared in the form of butt jointing and the joining processes were carried out at 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 A welding currents. Having accomplished the CMT operations; tensile properties of joints were detected, microhardness values were measured and micro and macro-structures of joints were investigated in order to see the joinability of 6061-T6 and 5754 series aluminum sheets by CMT technique.
