Özet
Abstract
This section discusses why coding education is necessary, its contribution to learning processes, and its relationship with different disciplines. It emphasizes that coding education supports cognitive development from an early age and can be effectively implemented with age-appropriate content, methods, and tools. The selection criteria for popular programming languages and their roles in education are detailed. The educational value of languages such as Scratch, Python, and Java is explained with examples. In addition, the platforms and tools used in coding education are examined in four main categories, and the importance of practical and gamified learning approaches is emphasized. At the end of the section, common challenges such as teacher competence, curriculum integration, and adaptation to technological change are presented along with suggested solutions. Research shows that coding education not only develops technical skills but also fosters future-oriented competencies such as creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving.
