The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of imagery interventions on self-esteem for the success development of soccer players. The research group consist of total 200 volunteer active male licensed soccer players (half of them study and other half control group) who were at least 3 years experienced and aged between 16 and 20 years. Imagery intervention programme was applied to the study group for 30 minutes 3 days a week during 20 weeks. No intervention programme was applied to control group. All participants were implemented the Offer SelfImage Questionnaire in the beginning and at the end of the study. According to the results, a statistically significant increase was found in all the subscales related to the self-perception of athletes who participated in imagery intervention programs (p <0, 05). Accordingly, the selfperception of athletes participating in the program were observed meaningful improvement in the indicators. While self-perception scores in the control group remained unchanged in many sub-titles (p> .05), it was found to be increased in sexual attitudes and emotional levelworking group scores a similar manner like study group (p<.05). Mental health problem subscale scores of the control group decreased according to the beginning level (p <0, 05). As a rusult, in the light of the findings, it might be said that imagery intervention programs have a positive impact on athletes’ self-perceptions.
