Phthalocyanine is a compound group on which increasing research has been conducted since the 20th century. These compounds are used as second-generation photostimulants in photodynamic therapy because of their photosensitivity, high singlet oxygen production and high absorption in the visible region. Photodynamic cancer therapy is a treatment method that has been widely used recently. One of the important points of this method is the selection of suitable compounds to be used as photostimulant. Taking this point into consideration, the usability of phthalocyanine molecules as a photostimulant is being investigated.
