Özet
This paper presents a unique compact flexible high-bandwidth meander line antenna for IoT applications. Bandwidth is critical for IoT devices for communication reliability. For this purpose, shorting pins and parasitic elements are introduced to enhance the antenna bandwidth. The proposed additions to the antenna improved the bandwidth from 8% to 28%. The designed antenna has dimensions 60 mm x 45 mm x 1.5 mm. Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) is used as the antenna substrate to provide flexibility. The antenna preserved its characteristics in different bending situations. Simulated and measured results are in general agreement. A home-designed fabrication process has been used involving wet-etching and left-off procedures.
