With the rapid industrialization, technological developments and the growth of transportation sectors that took place after the Second World War, human traffic between countries increased enormously. One of the sectors that has been affected by this rapid human mobility is the education; especially higher education students nowadays want to benefit from education opportunities in different countries. There is a great deal of change going on around us, and student mobility is growing quickly as a result. In recent years, tens of thousands of foreign students from many different countries have started to study at Turkish universities to complete their higher education. As a result of this, in this field, it has become one of the countries that host the most international students in the world. Unfortunately, there are very few studies on the problems and problems faced by doctoral students in the academic world. The initial objective of this study is to characterize the difficulties international students in chemical engineering program encounter throughout the course of their PhD, and to identify potential remedies.
