Energy is one of the basic needs of a developing and growing society. There are regional differences between electricity production and consumption values across the world. Effective utilization of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) is critical for sustainable development. In this study, regional RES potentials are analyzed, electricity generation and consumption data are evaluated with the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm, and new optimal generation points are proposed with the K-Means method. With the proposed points, it goes beyond traditional methods in determining the right energy generation locations and offers a data-driven analysis. By optimizing the positioning of generation points according to regional consumption needs, the strategies enable more efficient use of energy resources. In addition, this method lays the foundation for a more sustainable and efficient approach to energy production by proposing new solutions to address regional imbalances in RES distribution.
